About us

The Hungarian Council of Psychotherapy (HCP) is a voluntary alliance of Hungarian professional associations, each representing different psychotherapeutic methods. At present, 17 method-specific associations are represented within the Council (member associations).

Our mission is to provide a unified perspective on the specific characteristics and challenges of the psychotherapeutic profession, to advocate for the field, and to bring together the various method-based associations.

The Council strives to represent psychotherapy to relevant decision-making bodies, organizations, and authorities. More detailed information about our aims, activities, and the requirements for member associations can be found in our Founding Charter (Hungarian).
